Discipline

 

We will guide your child's behavior based on an understanding of each child's needs, stage of development, social behavior, self-control, and respect of others.  Discipline will be fair, reasonable, consistent and related to the child's behavior.  (WAC 388-295-2040)  However, when a child continues to have a discipline problem, the parents will be notified.  The discipline policy at Rainier Christian Preschool is consistent throughout the center:

 

  1. Acknowledge the situation ... talk about what happened and why

  2. Redirect - have child play at a different center

  3. Time Out - remove child from all privileges

  4. Parent Phone Call - we'll need your help!

  5. Withdrawal
