Parent Participation Communication: As previously stated, we fell that parents are partners. We value mutual respect and support between parents and teachers. Because we feel a great responsibility for your child, and for emotional security for your child, we need to know of changes in the family relationship, living arrangements, etc. If you have legal papers affecting your child (custody) please provide a copy for our files. Please communicate with us often. Stop to chat, write a note, call, etc. We need to know circumstances that effect your child's behavior or ability to function and cope. We need to know things which may be of concern to you, or if there is a situation where we could be of help. We also like to hear things that you appreciate. Please take the time to read the teachers daily reports, monthly newsletters as well as papers sent home from the preschool office. These contain important information about activities, services, school holidays, etc. Rainier Christian Preschool will hold optional conferences once a year in our 3's, 4's, and 5's classes. Please feel free to schedule additional conferences as you feel necessary with your child's teacher or administrator. Visitation: Although we limit visits to approximately 15 minutes, we welcome and encourage all of our parents to stop in to visit your child. We enjoy getting to know you, and want you to feel comfortable with our services. The better you know us, the better you will feel about your child's care. Parent/Teacher Fellowship: Rainier Christian Preschool/Childcare has a strong parent-teacher organization. The P.T.F. is involved in fundraising as well as many areas of service throughout the year. Some of the special events they sponsor are: Harvest Party, Parent Picnic, Puppets Please Marionettes, Year End Parties, and Summer Events. If any of these areas are of special interest to you, or if you would like to know how to become more involved with P.T.F., please contact the office. Local Board: Applications are available if you are interested in serving on our local board. |
