Failure on two major subjects during a marking period or two successive failures in the same subject will result in academic probation of the child.

Satisfactory improvement in grades must be accomplished by the following mid-mark period or alternative measures may be recommended by the administration.  Occasionally, it is recommended by the administration that a student be retained in a grade for a second year.  Such recommendation is only made after careful evaluation of the child's performance, his ability and social adjustment, along with his age/grade placement. 

Exceptional students may be given enrichment work to either bring them up to level or allow them to achieve at a greater level. Generally, this is done in a "pull out" program where the student is in either a small group setting or one to one with teacher or tutor.
